Beginners Beekeeping Clases are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9am to 11am.

Long Pants and a long sleeved shirt is required, a veil will be provided. Please be aware that it is possible but unlikey you will stung while attending a class. We are not responsible for bee stings while you are on the property.

August 11 at 11am The Topic will be Integrated pest management focusing on Nosema, American Foul Brood, Varroa Mites, Small hive beetles, yellow jackets and ants.  Well be doing sampling for Nosema, a two compound microscope will be set up to see the two types of Nosema.


September 8 at  11am  The Topic will be Proper storage of used equipment and protecting against wax moths.

October 13 at 11am, The Topic will be how to make bee candy for winter, brood builder patties, supplemental feeding during the winter months.

November 10 at 11am, The Topic will beplanning for spring bloom and honey flow, what to plant to get extra pounds of honey.

December 11 at 11am, The topic will be dependant on the weather
